This day of reflection an honor military veterans of all ages and branches of our armed forces gather at Oxnard Family Circle, Adult Day Health Care center to celebrate the freedom and the country they defended on the battlefield in the company of their comrades-in-arms. This years’ celebration was 15th Memorial Day being held at Oxnard Family Circle.   After a prayer for their fallen comrades and performance by singers and musicians, veterans sang their favorite songs and shared terrific stories from their days in service.

This day and every day we do thank and remember our fallen, but as a society, we also take care of our veterans and provide respite for their caregivers. Oxnard Family Circle ADHC is proud to be a part of this effort.

We transport our veterans to the center and back to their homes. They enjoy hot, nutritious meals and lead through a light workout by designated and trained staff. We fill the day with laughter, socialization, outings and other stimulating activities.  Those who need nursing assistance, rehab or have compromised memory receive all the care from licensed professionals.

Fully understanding that most of the families take great pride and joy in caring for their elderly so that they can remain at home, Oxnard Family Circle creates its’ programs aiming at two goals:

  1. To take necessary care of military veterans allowing them to stay physically active and mentally sharp.
  2. Allowing respite to those who care for them. Such relief provides a break for the family caregiver and very often is beneficial for caregiver’s health, emotional state, and family financial load.

Thank You, Veterans, to Your Services to Our Country!
