It has been just over two weeks since we started our Music and Memories program here at Oxnard Family Circle! We are happy to see just how positive a reaction to such an innovative program, brought to us by renowned Music Therapist Andy Tubman. To that extent, we are pleasantly surprised to see just how successful it has been, and so soon. One, obviously notable example, is a participant who was prescribed an afternoon anti-anxiety medication as needed by his doctor, and administered up until recently by our nursing staff. This beautiful, unforeseen consequence is directly related of our new Music and Memory program. Allegedly, this is not uncommon of participants to not have a need for a particular round of anti-anxiety or mood stabilizing medications while being in the Music and Memories program.
